Recently we worked with one of our existing clients to conduct a full evaluation of site traffic over a four year period. The purpose of this task was to see what we could lear from these four years of site usage and to help us make decisions regarding site navigation, visual and content design changes.
After nearly 40 man hours of digging, refining and mining data we came up with a solid implementation strategy for the revised site and began the work. In a month, the work was complete, but there was one particular area of site navigation that we were having difficulty anticipating how site visitors would interact with. So, we used a common testing method called A-B Testing where we randomly sent half of the users to one homepage and the other half of the users to another.
After only 30 days of data collection we had our answer. See which one you think worked best.
