Eco-Friendly
Being "green" as a web development company comes pretty easy. Maybe the most obvious benefit is that we are nearly paperless. Our annual paper usage averages less than 1000 sheets, most of which we reuse by printing on the back for internal use, and of course recycle when we're done. All the information and data not on paper has to be created, exchanged and stored somewhere though, and that means computers and electricity. We conserve there too. Our computers run with energy saving settings, as does our heating and cooling system, and we always use natural light when possible. We try to keep our clients involved as well. Invoicing, payments, service requests, and just about all other client communication can be done online, and long-distance travel and meeting commutes are almost non-existent. Even the products and services we use as a company have environmental programs. Our computers are backed by Apple's environmental standards and our managed hosting services fall under Rackspace's Greenspace initiative. All said though, we know we can do more and are always looking for new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
