Texas School for the Deaf Program Registration Goes Online

By: Tim Segars Tuesday, May 13, 2008

In late 2007 Elemental Blend was hired by the Texas School for the Deaf to take much of their program registration from paper to the Web. We were tasked with creating online registration tools that were accessible to both English and Spanish speaking users in addition to creating a system that could change and grow as needs changed.

Over several months Blend worked directly with TSD program managers to develop five very different online registration forms. These forms ranged from a simple 1-step sign-up to a multi-step form with built-in logic designed to keep the interfaces slim and the data pure.

The forms were launched over a several month period with much anticipation of how the users would react to online registration. Well, we are pleased to announce a tremendous response with over 1000 online registrations in a few short months. When moving from paper to online we always anticipate slow response, but TSD website users have adopted this new method in record time.
